One of the most enticing islands in the Adriatic is located in the inner belt of the Kvarner archipelago, known for its rare longest sandy beaches. Overall, we can say that the environment here is very healthy, dust-free and saturated with salt. At the beginning of the 20th century, the town of Rab was granted the status of a spa and since then tourism has developed very quickly. The average temperature in July is 23.2°C and in August it is around 25°C. By car you can reach Rab in the direction of Zagreb, exit Senj, you will reach the village of Stinica, from where a ferry runs to the island every hour on average in the year for a price of about 20 euros. The ferry ride takes 20 minutes and the drive to the destination takes another 5 minutes. There is a possibility of air transport to Zadar or Zagreb.

The island of Rab is a place with exceptional climatic conditions and a very pleasant climate all year round. Moreover, the area has a huge amount of sun hours and is one of the sunniest places on the Adriatic.

It is an important base for all water sports, a wonderful place for recreation and relaxation in nature between the sea and the mountains. There are many exceptional sights, 144 km of hiking trails and 157 km of cycling paths. These are exactly the reasons why the island of Rab has become so popular among tourists.

The island of Rab belongs to the Kvarner islands and is separated from the mainland by the Velebit Channel. An important part of the island is the Lopar peninsula, which is famous for its famous beaches – especially the sandy Paradise Beach, which is one of the most popular beaches in the entire Adriatic.

The largest municipality on the island is the town of the same name, Rab. Here you will find the original town beach, which consists of pebbles, pebbles and rocks. However, it’s worth heading a little further afield, as the island offers much nicer swimming spots. For example, head to the Frkanj peninsula, which is easy to reach on foot, but boats also come here regularly. There are also seven other settlements – Banjol, Palit, Barbar, Lopar, Kampor and Supetarska Draga. There is a regular bus service between the resorts.
